Wilderness: MOMO | Delimbo Sevilla
This exhibition inaugurates a new chapter on the history of Delimbo Gallery, a reference for contemporary art at the Sevilla-based Soho Benita, making a strong bet on its main effort, its Gallery.
"Wilderness" is a new exhibition by renowned artist MOMO. Born in San Francisco in 1974, MOMO is an artist that works in public spaces with homemade tools. His current interests lie with an evolving range of adapted masonry techniques to draft, design, and organize wall murals. Due to its international success, MOMO has travelled most of his life, living and working in cities such as New Orleans, Granada or Nueva York.
MOMO’s unique geometrical aesthetic "blurs the line between the analog and the digital, between precision and the practical", as said by Rafael Schacter, anthropologist, curator (including the iconic show Street-Art at the Tate Modern) and author from London. Using both his studio and public production as tool of continuous experimentation, "as a continuous feedback loop for one another", MOMO has "created a perfectly imperfect form of image making, one exploring the infinite possibilities of composition and colour".
The opening of "Wilderness" will also be a very special rendez-vous because the artist will offer us a live performance.
